About Centerra Gate Services
Alfie Evans
Manager. Alfie has repaired sagging hinges, replaced worn latches and adjusted chains on sliding gates for homeowners in Loveland. He has installed driveway gates, set posts in hard ground, wired openers and keypads, and built entry gates for larger properties.
Since he started Centerra Gate Services in 2010, the way the company works has changed. Early jobs were quoted only after a drive out to every address. Now many begin with photos and measurements sent from a phone, so he arrives with the right parts and saves site visits for checking the ground and the posts. Repairs are written up afterward, so customers know what was done and what to watch.

Gate Work We Handle
Most calls are for automatic gate repair, driveway gate installation and gate opener replacement. Around those, we rebuild sliding gate rollers and tracks, straighten swing gates that have sagged on their hinges, and set up keypads, intercoms and remote controls. The gates themselves are:
- Swing gates, single and double
- Sliding gates, on ground track or cantilever
- Driveway gates for homes
- Ranch-style entry gates for acreage and horse properties
- Commercial and shared-access gates, including HOA entrances
Loveland and Larimer County Properties
The properties vary as much as the gates. In town there are neighborhood driveways and HOA entrances with a gate that cycles all day. West of Loveland and around Berthoud there are acreage and horse properties with long lanes, wide ranch-style entries and power a long way off. Toward Johnstown, new subdivisions and small commercial lots share access through one gate. Each sets its own problems: frost and clay soil under the posts, wind on wide or solid gates, snow in the tracks, and HOA, city or county rules for anything new. You can see the communities on the Areas Served page.
When You Call or Send a Request
What should I expect when I call or send a request?
Expect questions about the gate: the type, swing or sliding, roughly how wide, what it does or does not do, and when it started. If you can, email photos of the gate and the opener and a few measurements. Those often show enough to bring the right parts on the first visit, and the site visit is then about the ground, the posts and the gate in motion.
What happens after the work is done?
Before the job is called finished, the gate is tested: level travel, the auto-reverse, the photo eyes and safety edges, and the battery backup with the power cut. The last step is cycling the gate repeatedly and listening for any drag or hesitation.
Start With a Call or a Request
Call or send the request form with the gate type and what it is doing, and email photos if you have them.
