Accessibility Statement

This is how we approach access

This site aims to meet the AA level of WCAG 2.2, the widely used guidelines for making web content accessible to people with disabilities, among them people who are blind, have low vision or cannot use a mouse.

Several things were done to get there. A link or a button tells you its purpose in its own words. Each page has headings in order, so screen readers can move through it. Forms label their fields and explain any error in plain terms. Nothing important is shown only as a picture of text. Colors were checked for contrast. Photos have alt text. A keyboard alone can operate every control, and the item in focus is clearly marked. The pages reflow for phones and zoom.

Each update to the site is tested before release, with automated accessibility checks on all pages and a check of every page in desktop-sized and phone-sized windows.

Tell us when something fails

Known limits: alt text describes the main point of each photo, not every detail. Beyond that, if a page, a link or a form fails you, please treat it as a bug we need to fix.

Problems can be reported by phone at (970) 293-8074 or by email to info@centerragatesdoors.com. We answer each report, and until the problem is solved, the same information is available by phone or email.
